The Chippy is a proud family-run fish and chip shop with deep roots in the local community. In November 2023, Nia took over the business. The previous owners had built a strong reputation for quality and friendly service, and Nia was determined to keep that tradition alive.

With over 20 years of experience in the chippy industry, Nia knew this was the perfect opportunity to take the next step. She kept the same recipes and the same great standards that customers already loved.

Since taking over, Nia has brought her family into the heart of the business. Her daughter, sons, and close family friends now work alongside her, helping to run the shop day to day. It’s become more than just a takeaway. It’s a family effort built on pride, hard work, and care for the community.

The building that houses our business has been serving up fish and chips for nearly 30 years, and will hopefully stay that way for many years to come.
